Coway received the BAF certificate

Seoul, September
Coway Co. Ltd., a leading well-being household electronics appliances manufacturer in Korea, said today that its air purifiers have received the BAF certificate from the British Allergy Foundation.

The BAF certification verifies that the air purifiers of Coway can most effectively remove major causes of allergy such as dermatophagoides farinae, and eliminate pollen and cigarette smoke.

Product models that were certified by the foundation include AP-1007AH, AP-2006AHJ, AP-1007EH, and AP-2007CHJ, which were launched in Korea and overseas markets in the first half of this year.

“Now that they have received the BAF certificate, a trade mark recognized by the European Community, performance of our air purifiers will win greater confidence of consumers,” said Kim Gyeong-gi, Executive Director of Environment Technology Institute at Coway. “The certification by an internationally recognized organization is a key to increasing presence in both the domestic and overseas markets.”

Air purifiers of Coway account for 47.9% in the domestic market, maintaining the unrivaled top place. Buoyed by the BAF certificate, the company plans to acquire other certifications from world authoritative testing organizations.

Meanwhile, the British Allergy Foundation has certified vacuum cleaners, washing devices for bed clothes, floor and carpets, air purifying systems, car cleaners, and clothes washing machines
